In the future I would like to be a more serious writer. My dream has always been to write books that people can relate to and find extremely interesting. My only issue is that I'm not really confident about my writing skills. So once I build my skills and confidence I will start working on my first book. Hopefully I will be a best selling author and make millions doing something that I actually enjoy.

I think that post secret is a good idea. I saw a few stupid secrets that were posted, but it seems like it would be good for the most part. Its a great way for people to get their secrets out without actually telling someone personally. Sometimes people need to express the way they feel or even tell something that are not supposed to tell, and this is good outlet. I don't know if I would actually have the nerve to send post cards with my secrets on them even if they were anonymous, I would be convinced that someone would figure out that it was my secret.

Killing Yourself To Live

I didn't finish reading the book, but I pretty much liked what I read. I liked that it was humorous and that it did not follow the format of the traditional types of books that I've read in the past. I am not really big on reading books, I'd much rather watch movies instead but I do plan to finish the book because I thought that it was interesting. The thing that I didn't really like about the book was that I didn't know about any of the music that he referenced except the the Beyonce and Jay-Z song. I don't know if I should feel ashamed of that or not. I guess I shouldn't really be ashamed because I'm not really into rock at all. I knew a few of the names of people and groups that he talked about, but I really couldn't relate to that part. I do like his style of writing and I think that I would possibly read other books by him, as long as they are not based on rock.

My favorite monster is Ursula, the sea witch from The Little Mermaid. As a child I didn't really think that she was scary but my cousin had nightmares about her, and I thought this was so funny. Ursula had a great sense of humor and she was able to recognize when she had been beaten, but at the same time she was mean and devious!

I chose the poem "Phenomenal Woman" by Maya Angelou primarily because it's a great poem. I really love the poem because it exudes a strong confidence from the narrator. When you read the poem it gives you a strong sense of pride in yourself. I intentionally searched for Maya Angelou poems because I think she does great work, most of the poems that I have read by are have been uplifting and easy to read. I am not really into poetry but she is my favorite poet.

Cinderella: The Queen "B"

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful woman with two young daughters who had recently been widowed. Due to the recent death of her beloved husband she was forced to find a job if she didn’t want to end up on the streets with her children. The beautiful woman came across an ad for a nanny and decided to check it out. When she arrived at the mansion she was mesmerized, it was like nothing she has ever seen before. It was a very large castle like mansion with beautiful landscaping and stunning curb appeal, and that was just the outside. When she walked in it looked like a palace, this was the kind of place that she only thought she’d see in her dreams. As the beautiful woman admired the house the rich man enter the room and was as mesmerized with her beauty as she was with the mansion. He couldn’t believe a woman that stunning would want to be a nanny. The beautiful woman and the rich man made an immediate connection, and instead of becoming a nanny the beautiful woman became the rich mans wife. The beautiful woman thought that she would live happily ever after until she met the rich mans daughter, Cinderella. Cinderella had lost her mother at a very young age and therefore her father felt like he had to give her whatever she wanted to try and fill that void. The beautiful woman wasn’t too happy about the fact that the rich man treated his daughter like a little pre-Madonna; she couldn’t believe how he catered to the little brat. Despite the feelings that the beautiful women had about Cinderella’s upbringing, she tried her best to make them a family but Cinderella was not receptive. Cinderella didn’t think she needed a stepmother or any stepsisters, she had her loving father and she didn’t want to share him with anyone. The rich man knew that knew his daughter was a little cold toward his new wife and stepchildren but he figure that she just needed time to warm up to them. Little did he know he had created a little monster. She was rich, beautiful and extremely spoiled. Cinderella knew that she had her father wrapped around her little finger. The beautiful women tried to be a mother to Cinderella but nothing she did mattered, Cinderella hated her. Although Cinderella couldn’t convince her father not to marry the beautiful women, she was determined to make her life at the mansion hell. The beautiful woman would find her belongings missing or destroyed, Cinderella would instruct the chef to prepare meals that she knew her stepmother hated, and had a new story for her father every evening about how horrible the beautiful woman was. The beautiful women and her daughters had become so fed up with Cinderella’s behavior that they contemplated moving out of the mansion. Of course the beautiful woman loved the rich man and her new lifestyle, but she couldn’t stand his daughter. After years of the drama the beautiful women decided that she just couldn’t take it anymore. She went to the rich man and told him that she was leaving, the rich man was furious. He started yelling and going on and on about how she would pay and how she wouldn’t get a dime. Cinderella was extremely happy, her plan had worked. She was now about to have her father all to herself again. After the beautiful woman left, Cinderella went to her father and began to feed him more lies about the beautiful women to ensure that he wouldn’t go beg her to come back. The rich man was convinced that he was lucky that the beautiful woman had left him. He told Cinderella that the beautiful woman would go back to poverty because according to their prenup she wasn’t entitled to anything. After talking to Cinderella the rich man found himself feeling weak. Shortly after he fell to the floor, had a heart attack and died. Both Cinderella and the beautiful woman were devastated; they couldn’t believe he was gone. Cinderella was more devastated when she realized that her father had appointed the beautiful woman to be her guardian and the she now had control of his fortune. Of course Cinderella had a trust fund, but she wouldn’t have full access to it until her 25th birthday. She was furious! After the funeral the beautiful woman and her daughters moved back into the mansion, and the tables turned. Cinderella no longer had the power that she once had; she was now at the mercy of her “wicked” stepmother. The beautiful woman and her daughters were determined to make Cinderella pay for her cruel treatment toward them. They forced Cinderella to be the maid and treated her as badly as she had treated them. Cinderella strongly resisted initially but then she started to realize that she was getting exactly what she deserved. After months of the torture, Cinderella begged her stepmother to stop. The beautiful woman was reluctant initially but she then remembered how it was to be alone without anyone to love. Cinderella, the beautiful woman, and her daughters finally became a family and lived happily ever after.

I chose this picture because it makes me feel happy and relaxed and those are two of my favorite feelings. I love the bright colors from the the flowers and the water, but I also like how the green neutralizes it in a way. I makes me think about a perfect summer day when the weather in not too hot but not too cool, and its not too sunny or too cloudy. I picture myself lying in a hammock with a cool drink just staring at this image.
